Terms of service

Who we are. This website is operated by Drown Spirits Co Pty Ltd (ACN 696 152 280), trading as Drown Spirits Co. We hold Queensland Liquor Licence 268302. Orders are accepted, processed and dispatched from our licensed premises at Unit 4, 97 Harburg Drive, Beenleigh QLD 4207.

18+ only. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. By placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the person receiving the order is 18 or over.

Age verification. We verify the age of every customer. Before or after checkout we may ask for your date of birth and verify your identity using a third-party verification service. We record your date of birth and how you were verified against your order, as some states' liquor laws require. For signature deliveries, the courier may also check photo ID. If we can't verify your age, we will cancel your order and refund you in full.

Refusal of supply. We may refuse or cancel any order, and refund you, if:

  • we cannot verify that you are 18 or over
  • we believe the order is being bought for someone under 18
  • the delivery address is in an alcohol-restricted area, or is somewhere we are not permitted to supply
  • we believe supplying the order would breach any liquor law or our licence conditions

Prices and payment. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery is charged at checkout. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Buy now, pay later services are not available for liquor. Your contract with us is formed when we dispatch your order.

Quantity limits. We may limit how many bottles one customer can buy per order or over a period.

Responsible service. Please enjoy our spirits responsibly. We may decline orders that suggest harmful or excessive consumption.

Product information. We try to describe our products accurately. Bottle colour and label printing may vary slightly between batches. ABV and volume are stated on every product page and label.

Liability. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Privacy. We handle your personal information, including ID and date-of-birth records, under our Privacy Policy.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
